Top Mud

Top Mud is an LPMud using a Shattered World game driver. It was established in 1991 at UTSA and has survived with many of the original castles and mudlib components.

Top Mud will challenge you with interesting, unique quests. You can join guilds to get extra powers. Special attributes (strength, toughness, spell skill) improve your character. Weather, time, and food/hunger are part of the game. There are lockers for rent to store your equipment when you quit, and there is a credit union (with ATM) to save your money.

In addition to the traditional medieval/fantasy flavor, there are creative areas and monsters, such as: Camelot and Sherwood Forest; Nolan Ryan and baseball trading cards; Mervyn the Apothecary and his green cheese; cartoon, comic book, and story book monsters; Aquarena Springs' Ralph the Swimming Pig; Lonestar, the IRIX computer at UTSA; Ahab the Arab; Elvis and the Japanese Tourist; Vampire of the Sacred Blood; the highlander immortal Rameriez; and sand goblins.

Hours

Top Mud is up full time, with daily reboots at 7:00 pm CST. The shutdown period lasts 10 minutes. Top Mud restarts daily at 7:15 pm CST. Shop inventory is cleaned out once per week on Mondays during the reboot.
